Jean Hamerman, NeighborGreen’s Founder is a certified Home Energy Professional by the Building Performance Institute (BPI). She completed the Building Analyst and Building Envelope certifications and continues her energy training through seminars, workshops and industry conferences. She has honed her assessment and diagnosis skills by performing over one hundred energy surveys in the past 6 months and has supervised the remediation of as many homes. Working in conjunction with experienced home performance Contractors means homeowners benefit from two or more trained professionals analyzing each home for cost-effective and energy-saving measures.
Jean’s professional experience includes working as an lighting surveyor for Con Edison’s Small Business Direct Install program, serving as the Deputy Commissioner at NYC Small Business Services, developing micro lending programs, and serving as Director of Business Development for a non-profit organization designed to help women grow micro to million dollar businesses.
Jean serves on the Hastings-on-Hudson Conservation Commission and is an Advisory Board member of the Southern Westchester Energy Action Consortium. She is a passionate advocate for energy efficiency in the municipal, commercial, and residential sectors.
